Algorithmic Composition has an important place in the Institute of Sonology’s history. Research topics in this field include stochastic methods, compositional models and complex systems. Students will learn to program sound, control, and musical behaviour. Topics such as using probabilities, generative algorithms, complex systems and selection principles will be presented.
